PETROS SUPPORTS SARAWAK PREMIER LEAGUE 2026

1 September 2026, Kuching - Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) continues its support for football development in Sarawak with a contribution of RM200,000.00 to the Sarawak Premier League 2026.

The contribution was presented by Haji Ismail Said, PETROS Senior Vice President for Human Capital, Corporate Relations & Services to YB Dato Fazzrudin Haji Abdul Rahman, President of the Football Association of Sarawak (FAS).

The Sarawak Premier League 2026 is the second edition of the tournament, which brings together football clubs and players from across the State. The league provides an opportunity for players to compete, develop their skills and contribute to the continued growth of football in Sarawak.

Ismail highlighted that the contribution reflects PETROS’ continued commitment to empower inclusivity and contribute to the development of Sarawak.

"Sport has an important role in bringing people together and fostering a strong sense of community. Through our continued support for the Sarawak Premier League, we hope to contribute to the development of football in Sarawak while providing opportunities for players to grow, compete and realise their potentials," he continued.

The sponsorship also builds on PETROS’ support for the inaugural Sarawak Premier League in 2025, reflecting its continuing partnership with FAS to support the growth and development of football across the State.

Through initiatives such as this, PETROS remains committed to support efforts that strengthen community wellbeing and contribute positively to the people of Sarawak.
